Inside
Glensherraig House is an almost 200-year-old luxury accommodation which has been lovingly maintained and updated whilst retaining all its original character, and is now available for unforgettable holidays on the beautiful Isle of Arran.
THE KITCHEN
The well-equipped kitchen offers you a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, induction hob, fan oven, microwave and coffee maker.
THE KITCHEN
There is plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils to make food preparation as simple as possible. A washer/dryer is tucked beneath the staircase, and iron, ironing board and pegs are available should you need them.
THE DINING ROOM
The dining room has an extendable table which will easily seat 6, a comfortable sofa, and a TV with Freesat.
THE DINING ROOM
The French doors open on to the rear patio and garden.
THE DINING ROOM
There is also a stove which keeps the room cosy in cooler months. Creating a lovely, warm cottage feel.
THE DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM
Also downstairs is a bathroom with wet-room style shower.
THE LOUNGE
The lounge also has French doors on to the rear patio and garden. Comfortable furniture invites relaxation in a luxury setting, along with a TV with Freesat and Blu-Ray player.
THE LOUNGE
This room has a lovely fireplace with a coal-effect gas fire. A large cupboard contains games and jigsaws for quiet times, and there are plenty of books and dvds in the house.
THE MAIN BEDROOM
Up the main staircase are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed, plenty of storage and an electric coal-effect fire in the fireplace.
THE SECOND BEDROOM
The second bedroom has two full-sized single beds, a chest of drawers, a useful desk and a bookcase with lots of books which you are welcome to enjoy.
THE MAIN BEDROOM
These bedrooms both have dormer windows to the front of the house with lovely views of the fields and towards the sea.
THE UPSTAIRS BATHROOM
The bathroom upstairs has a new multi-jet luxurious shower to relax or invigorate after a day’s activity.
THE THIRD BEDROOM
Between the kitchen and dining room is a staircase up to the third bedroom, tucked under the eaves above the kitchen. Here you will find a full-size single bed and a bed-settee. Headroom for the single bed is slightly limited and whilst an adult can sit up in bed here, it is not suitable for the less agile. This is a great room for an older child or teenager wanting their own space, complete with own stairs. The velux window looks out over the garden at the back and Goatfell is seen up to the right.
Please be aware that due to the thickness of the walls in this part of the house, this room is not recommended for a baby or small child who might need a baby monitor, as the signal may not travel through to the other bedrooms. Please check it carefully.
